CONCERT DRESS
The Floyd County Youth Symphony strives to present a professional appearance on stage. Dress should be appropriately formal but not showy. The audience should not notice one particular player more than any other.
PHILHARMONIC FORMAL CONCERT DRESS CODE
Men -Black tux or black suit, white shirt, black bow tie, black dress shoes and black socks.
Women -Long black dress or long black skirt and black blouse. Skirts should be no shorter than 4 inches above the ankle, and dresses or blouses must have sleeves. (No glitter, sequins, velvet, lace or decoration of another color) Black dress shoes and black or neutral hose.
PHILHARMONIC INFORMAL CONCERT DRESS CODE
FCYS polo shirt, khaki pants or skirt with dark casual shoes. No tennis shoes unless announced. Disney performance will require white tennis shoes.
MINI-ORCHESTRA FORMAL CONCERT DRESS CODE
All members should wear white dress shirts or blouses, black or dark blue dress pants or skirts, dark dress shoes and black socks for boys.
MINI-ORCHESTRA INFORMAL CONCERT DRESS CODE
(worn for tour of elementary schools) FCYS polo shirt, jean pants, shorts, or skirt. Tennis shoes are ok, but no flip-flops or sandals.
Questions about appropriate dress should be referred to the director. Formal concert dress is worn unless otherwise notified. Orders for FCYS polo shirts will be taken at designated rehearsals.
